Browsealoud is a web site speech enabling service offered by TextHELP Systems Limited, which makes web content accessible to anyone with reading difficulties. It is designed to be simple to use and requires only for you to download the FREE software. The software works by simply scrolling your mouse over the text that you want to read (it also reads menus and hyperlinks to ease navigation). Users have a choice of voice, pitch and speed.

The software is Microsoft Certified and should work on any PC that runs Windows and has Internet Explorer 4.0 upwards or Netscape Navigator. An increasing number of organisations have enabled their own web sites with Browsealoud, including; the BBC, Yahoo, Google, Disability Rights Commission and some local authorities.

You can download the new cloud based version of Browsealoud here.
